Cement industry is the important raw material industry in our country. It has provideda strong material base for the country’s economic development. Today the sustainabledevelopment becomes the focus of the world, and the cement industry is facing the severeovercapacity problem. So the government, cement association, academics andentrepreneurs together consider the major issues that how to change the cement industrydevelopment mode and to promote the cement enterprises’ transformation. During thisperiod, it is particularly important to study and explore the cement enterprises’ strategicdirection on transformation and implementation path.In this paper, The author chooses the representative large cement enterprise-C groupcompany in this industry as the research object to do some research through drawinglessons from the domestic and foreign research results on transformation and upgrading,combining with the actual situation of enterprises, using literature review, linking theorywith practice and case study. According to the research thought of raising questions,analyzing solving problems, starting with the inconsistency between the environment andchange trend of C group company and current strategy, the author put forward thedevelopment path of the enterprise’s transformation and upgrading. That is to change theindustrial structure from a single product management to related diversification based onindustry chain extension, market strategic layout from expanding the scale to creatingregional competitive advantages, competition model from manufacturing to the "product+service", producing mode from mass production to fully clean production, managementmode from financial management to management controlling. Through strengthening thetalents team construction and promoting the technology innovation ability, the companywill get the support of transformation and upgrading. The significance of this article is notonly to the C group company’s transformation in the new development stage but also topromoting transformation of China’s cement industry development mode.
