After the revolution of information technology in the twentieth century, great changes have taken place in the enterprise’s management environment. The first one is the change of the customer, with the increasing competition in the industry, the customers have more choices, and with the improvement of life quality, the customer’s requirements of all aspects of the product are higher; The second is the change in the competition, with the continuous development of science and technology and the obvious global integration trend, the market competition is increasingly fierce; The third is the change of environment, commodity demand stable market environment has disappeared, replaced by the most changeful market demand, such as the changes of product variety and product life cycle. In the changing background of these three aspects as the main symptom, enterprises have entered into a new pattern, the competitiveness of the enterprises gradually transformed into the internal competition from the external competition, more and more enterprises due to its inability to adapt to the fast changing market environment are getting distressed. In such a social background, process reengineering theory came into being, it not only can make the enterprise to reshape the competitive advantage, but also enable enterprises to create sustainable competitive advantage, it has become an important weapon for enterprises to obtain sustainable development.This paper aims to expound some understanding of theory of process reengineering and lean production, and has proposed the formation of a new management method by the combination of some ideas and methods of lean production and process reengineering, it is helpful for the use of the theory of business process reengineering in enterprises to be more effective and more comprehensive. On this basis, we have taken HJ company as the research object of theory practice. Firstly, the status of the company’s production management is described, its business process is also analyzed from six aspects. Secondly, the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to business process reengineering, and the advantage of using this method in business process reengineering is detailed analyzed. The business processes of HJ company which needed to be improved are successfully picked out. Finally, the new method of process reengineering based on the lean production is applied to the improvement of the HJ company. It has solved some of the problems faced by the company, and reshaped the competitive advantage.In addition, it is hoped that this study can play a certain reference significance to the improve activities of enterprises of the same industry, and gave the administrative and technical personnel a hand for the implementation of process reengineering or lean production activities in the enterprise, to form an innovative and continuous improvement thinking. It is also hoped to increase the success rate of the process reengineering theory and lean production in the enterprises implement activities through this study, so that more and more enterprises by means of the two magic weapons in the roaring waves in the market environment to create their own unique and sustainable development mode.
