Based On Lean Production Injection Mold Manufactuiing Process Improvement

The injection mold processing has lots of characteristics. Such as a small amount ofdiversity, switching frequency, high technical content, difficult management, longprocessing cycle, difficult delivery control and difficult to precisely measure the cost. Inthe Injection mold production process, exists many problems. For example，the prevalenceof mold design program changing, chaotic production and site management, thefluctuations of delivery, switching losses, low overall efficiency and lack of theimplementation issues etc. Through this thesis, the fundamental reasons have beenresearched. The reasons conclude: lack of standardization of work processes in the designof injection mold and manufacture, lack of uniform operating standards in the working,lack of systematic optimization method in the site management, the lack of reasonable andobjective assessment targets and guidelines of direction in the performance appraisal.Through the application of lean manufacturing principles and methods to establish aset of standardized injection mold design and manufacturing processes, regulate all aspectsof mold design and production and rule all the working aspects of mold design andproduction. Through the use of5S,TPM, more-able workers which contains in LeanManufacturing to strengthen the basic management of the injection mold manufacturingenterprises and establish of the implementation capacity of the mold injection design andmanufacturing processes. The promotion of the red-card operations is researched to ensurethe basic management work gradually strengthened and maintain the execution of theproduction process and operating standards. Through the promotion of continuousimprovement, the gradual optimization of the processes and infrastructure management,the promotion of the continuous improvement of technical level and management capacityto ensure the injection mold design and manufacturing process has always been maintainedin a continuous the advancing rationality level. Through KPI system to monitoring thestatus of the injection mold production process. Finally, through the comparison ofmanagement conditions before and after of improvement in F company to prove theeffectiveness of the improved model and summed up lots of management principles in theinjection mold design and production management,The application shows the establishment of injection mold production process whichbased on lean manufacturing principles and methods can solve the problems in thecompany. The problems contain difficult measurement in mold production management, low equipment utilization, difficult control of delivery, unsystematic of management andso on. And it also can improve staff efficiency and value of the work, improve customersatisfaction. The research results provide a new method for the injection mold design,production and manufacturing management.
