In the development process of HEV, not only can each part of dynamic system be tested on the powertrain test bench but also the entire powertrain. Besides, the test bench is valuable to the analysis of control strategy, provides the foundation for computer simulation and tests real timing and reliability of the system. It is a significant way for HEV development.The article has completed the design of the data acquisition and control system according to the experimental requirements of the target vehicle. Based on functional analysis of test bench and vehicle structural analysis, select the main parameters for acquisition. Based on the simulation of target vehicle on the platform of Cruise and Matlab/Simulink, the article designs the control flow and detailed parameters for acquisition and control. Based on the integral structure of test bench, the article selects measurements for different parameters. We also designed the hardware part of the test bench, select the appropriate equipment and use CAN bus and RS-485bus for data communication.The upper computer software of the data acquisition and control system is developed on the platform of Lab VIEW. Firstly, different modules are separated based on functional analysis, we developed the modules respectively include vehicle data module, engine data module, motor data and torquemeter module and dynamometer data module. The engine data module, motor data and torquemeter module and dynamometer data module can respectively control and measure the engine, motor, dynamometer independently. Then we integrate the modules and complete the data logging function. Upper computer and lower computer communicate in ask-response mode.The lower computer software of the data acquisition and control system is developed on the platform of Keil MDK μVision4. Different modules are separated based on functional analysis, we developed the modules respectively include CCU, VCU and RCU. CCU can simulate the behavior of the driver, provide the results for VCU. VCU can execute the control strategy and control the dynamic module and the resistance module. RCU can simulate the resistance. Each part of lower computer can communicate by using the Para_map. The lower computer communicates with ECU BMS and MCU by using CAN bus.The data acquisition and control system is debugged after its design, the system functions are verified by test bench tests include engine speed&torque test, motor torque test and cycle run test.
