The cases of pneumoconiosis accounts for more than80%of the total reported number of occupational disease, and the mortality rate of pneumoconiosis is above60%. The dangerous disease devastates physical health and mental health of the sick, and its death rate highly. Due to the weak legal awareness, pneumoconiosis patients rarely signed labor contracts, leading activist difficulties in obtaining reasonable compensation for injuries and proper medical care.Newspapers built the pneumoconiosis issues, making the audience start to pay attention to pneumoconiosis patients. However, newspaper mainly described the tragic experience of pneumoconiosis patients as the starting point and the important point. The targeted media emphasized in the issue that patients how to protect their reasonable rights and portrayed the image of patients as "victims" and "cherished person". The media used powerless framework and human framework to highlight disadvantaged images of the pneumoconiosis patients. Meanwhile, the media weakened related practical problems. Overall, the newspaper moved audience by emotion, and its reports floated on the surface.This paper selected three major and renowned newspapers as the research target, and attempted to figure out the biased pneumoconiosis topics and issues with the theoretical background of agenda-setting theory, media reproduction theory and frame analysis theory. The image of pneumoconiosis patients has been investigated based on the analysis of pneumoconiosis condition, age, region, type of work and word frequency etc. Based on the investigation, the paper tried to explore the media how to dig the information about the social problems and how to pursuit the scientific and systematic knowledge, to make sure to keep objective and rational.
