News review has a long history in our country. As economic and social development in recent years, news commentary shows thriving trend. News comment pages appear at the turn of the century, and rapid development over the past more than10years, has achieved fruitful results. Also faces a number of challenges and unknown. Especially for party newspaper and metropolis daily which play the most important role, how to seize the opportunities and meet the challenges in future development, further innovation and deepening of news comment pages and through comment and opinion to influence China’s future, would has a very strong point meaning to the comment pages’ future development.The research pay attention to based news comments version of rise and development, change the People’s Daily and the Beijing News as the representative for party newspaper and metropolis daily. Then randomly select each60days as research sample for content analysis from January, February, March, July, August and September,2014. And make a preliminary summary out two copies newspaper respective in macro level and micro level of content and traits. The research also select Lanzhou tap water pollution event in2014as case for compared analysis, The research conclude the features and similarities and differences between the People’s Daily and the Beijing News in normal and non-normal situations.On the basis of the foregoing analysis, the research discussed the development opportunities and challenges to China’s comment pages from different perspectives. And hope to give reference to better achieve its own role and detect problems for the comment pages. Finally the research summary from the above analysis, planning and design from the strategic and tactical level, to provide suggestions in the future development of the comment page.
