Remote Wireless Monitoring System Based On LabVIEW

With the industrial development and extensive applications, the remote monitoring systemshould be provided with the functions of detection, management, supervision and control to theproduction process. Although the traditional wired remote monitoring system may has someadvantages in some aspects like the system performance, it is also facing the economic andtechnical difficulties in solving the problems of remote monitoring, such as geographicalremoteness, control point scattering and wide spread. In view of this practical problem, thispaper designs LabVIEW based wireless communication monitoring system on the basis of thewireless communication.Firstly, this paper introduces the technology and overall design requirements of the wirelesscommunication monitoring system, combining with the background significance of the topic. Inaccordance with the requirements, this paper introduces the overall design scheme separatelyfrom three aspects in detail; which is hardware, software and the background monitoring.Secondly, the hardware and software system are designed respectively according to thedesign requirements. The hardware design includes core control design of minimum system withSCM as its core, design of multi-signals’ collection, processing and execution mechanism,wireless communication module design and power module design; Software system designmainly includes the live SCM software design and the background monitoring system softwaredesign, with the latter as its focus.Finally, the welding debugging and software testing of various modules of the system arecompleted, and the construction of the wireless monitoring system is successfully finished basedon LabVIEW. Through the long running, the system is proved that it is stable and meets the finaldesign requirements. The system, with advantages of short development cycle, reliable operation,and humanized monitoring interface and so on, has been applied in the enterprise.
