Green grain storage is the development trend of future food storage,it can avoid the microbial and chemical insecticides and other fungal toxins which can cause harm to the grain. In order to improve the existing grain storage methods, to explore the granary of the pollution-free green storage, and reduce food losses in the storage process to ensure food quality. The monitoring system must be established to monitor various physical parameters for food storage process. This paper designs a Grain monitoring system platform based on LabVIEW software and combines GIS technology. The system can manage the grain storage monitoring and real-time environment temperature and humidity data, in the same time, it provides a friendly human-computer interaction for user for security monitoring.The paper designs a monitoring system from two levels:GIS management and grain state monitoring.The system designs data acquisition, user management, logistics and scheduling as one of the food grain situation.The GIS technology is based on the second development control MapX of the MapInfo company. Achieve the geographic layer loading, editing, translation, zoom, data location and GPS tracking and other functions through calling MapX in the LabVIEW software platform. The upper level manager can manage the grain depots based on geographic layers and the system can realize the parameter monitoring during the the grain scheduling and grain logistics process.The grain state monitoring system selects the 180 tons of experimental food ranary in Xiaotangshan base of the Academy of State Administration of Grain as a real-time detecting and control system design example to elaborate. This system via TCP/IP protocol and RS232 serial communication with the GPRS grain aggregation node and wireless image acquisition nodes to communicate, to do acquisition, storage, real-time display and historical curve of the waveform drawing of the temperature, humidity data at various points and the image on the granary. For further study of temperature, humidity and other conditions affecting the grain store to provide reliable experimental data.After experimental verification, based on the implemented in hardware, the LabVIEW and GIS-based monitoring system can meet the Grain barn on-site detection of environmental parameters and the parameters of the demand for food, can realize the management of food logistics scheduling, provide explore for the future granary of the actual large-scale applications.
