As an important carrier of the daily operations, physical assets have several features: longcycle, high value, wide distribution, constantly changing. With the continuous development ofschools, the scope and breadth of physical assets management also expands unceasingly,makes the asset management and stock become more complex.Liaoning agricultural machinery school is a secondary technical schools, it currentlymange asset information by manual mode, procurement, inventory, accounting isindependently this leads to that asset status, distribution and other basic information is notaccurate, account inconsistent phenomenon is serious, that is not to satisfy the needs of assetmanagement and systematic management, a set of mature physical assets management systemto control and manage assets and real in increasing the service efficiency of assets isnecessary, it will resource cost saving and improve the management level and efficiency.RFID is a kind of automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) technologies, ittransfer radio frequency transmission of information by electric or magnetic fields. RFID usethe radio frequency identification (RFID) reader communicate with electronic tags on theitems, analysis system via web services to link to read or update the information stored on thelabel. RFID has important value for physical assets management system. It can provideaccurate information on current physical and help the school to ensure the safety inventory.University physical assets management system based on RFID technology is a set ofrelying on automatic identification technology with the practice of physical assetsmanagement, use the Visual Studio2005development platform to the development of thesystem design, SQL Server2005is the backstage database management system of thesystem.In this paper, some work has been done as follows:Ⅰ.Radio frequency identification technology. It includes three parts: RFID read-writedevice attached to the physical assets, the electronic label, and information processing system.Read with handheld, speaking, reading and writing device electronic labels on the physicalassets, to get the details of the assets, and then sends the data to server software system, and finally made by various request management system according to the user from processing,and send feedback to the user’s browser page.Ⅱ.Set up three layers architecture: user layer, business layer and data layer. User clientlayer includes teachers, student’s client and administrator user the business layer manager isresponsible for processing the user’s request, and will respond to display the results back tothe user layer. Data layer system including the system database and XML configuration files.Ⅲ.Establish five modules: system user management, student business management,teacher business management function, RFID management.It implements the followingfunction: background system management, asset information query, assets management andbudget management, asset information records, electronic label management, reportgeneration and printing and asset management.Each main function module of the system is tested after the design of system iscompleted. User has carried on the actual use, the results prove that the basic achieve thevarious functions of the system design, system data can be accordingly and make the rightfeedback. System in line with the user requirements of the business, and has a certain security,reliability.
