The Research On Asset Management System Based On RFID In Military Academy

Asset management in Military Academy plays an important role in organization management.It always requires a great mount of human resources and working hours.For managers to improve the efficiency in asset inventory control so as to reduce management cost,organizations need an innovation process of asset management.As the progressing development of the Radio Frequency Identification(RFID)technology in recent years,the domestic productivity of RFID has been growing up stably.Moreover,the relative applications also have been blooming.There are many application systems of inventory management based on the RFID in market,but there exist only a few asset management system which matches the Standards of Classification for Military Academy.Therefore,this research will firstly study an asset management system based on RFID technology to replace the traditional manual process or bar code method.Secondly,AHP methods are used to evaluate the performance of RFID asset management.The approach of the RFID asset management in Military Academy in this research adopts straight-line depreciation method based on the standard of DGBAS to calculate the residual asset value.As for the RFID technology,we will apply the Class 1 Gen 2 UHF RFID standard,proposed by EPCglobal Inc,in order to match the current industry specifications.In software development aspect,we adopt the method of object oriented model for system analysis and design.The system consists of three sub-systems including: asset management sub-system,mobile RFID sub-system,and asset management web sub-system.The system analysis and design process follows the “Light-weighted Capability Maturity Model – Integrated”(Light-weighted CMMI)model,and uses the object oriented modeling tool of Unified Modeling Language(UML),AHP mothed to insure the quality and maturity of the software system.Besides the advantage of time saving in the operation of inventory,this system can significantly improve the accuracy of the inventory accuracy.
