The Design And Implementation Of Postgraduates' Information Management System

Main functions of postgraduates'information management system include graduate student status management, course Management, course selection management, management of selecting instructors, performance management and evaluation management. There are three login types of the system: the administrator, teachers and students. Teachers and students log on the same page while the administrator doesn't log on that page.The system is mainly to complete the interaction among administrator, teachers and students. The administrator deals with the login and type of all users, how many departments in the postgraduate department, how many majors under each department, how many classes of small languages in each major, and so on. Class schedule is about the class information of all the departments and majors,in which students check their curriculum information in the current and previous semesters according to their department, major and grade. In course selection management ,if different majors offer one same course,the database should contain multiple data。Students choose elective courses according to their department and major, they can't see other department or major's electives.Students'score could be modified only by administrator and teachers. Teachers can only modified their own students'score. Students can only check but not modify. Teachers and students could only modify their own personal information. One student can not see other students'personal information, neither the teachers. While students could see teachers'personal information and vice verse. Students and teachers can only modify their own password. The administrator can modify his own password as well as students'and teachers'. But the administrator can not check the password of students or teachers. If a teacher or student modifies his/her own personal information, or the teacher modifies students'score, the permission is completely controlled by the administrator, as when to modify. Teaching evaluation is mainly directed against teaching construction of some schools, as to evaluation of teachers'lectures. The administrator will input the questions into the database by the way of multiple-choice or short answer questions. Then students could query dynamically after log and save the selected choice into the database. The administrator could check the results. Application management is to apply to manage something temporary, as to a sports competition. What projects could Postgraduate Department join? The administrator input the data, students could check dynamically and input their choice, and then the administrator counts the results and report to Sport Department. So application on line facilitates students as well as teachers.
