At present, China is in a period of social transformation in all areas, society, economy, politics, and culture have been great changed.The adjustment of the social interests structure inevitably leads to conflicts of various stakeholders, and in pace with the intension of the social transformation, social conflicts changed more intensely. Especially in recent years, the number of mass incidents gradually increased, leading to a deterioration of public order and safety, and in the internet space, new media, especially micro-blog, speed up the spread of information and the becoming of internet public opinion, which has become a platform to discuss many public events. This paper focus on the relationship between micro-blog and mass incidents."Kunming PX incident" in sina micro-blog is chose as the research object, content analysis and case analysis method are used combined with SPSS software to analysis all the statistics carefully and scientifically, summed up the relationship between micro-blog and mass incidents in this event.In this paper, conclusions could be elaborated as the followings, micro-blog did not the incentives of mass incidents, but only the followers of the event, and the information publishers showed much rationality, which is different from the irrational behavior in this mass incidents. Furthermore, the public opinions, freely form in micro-blog and maintain not for a long time, which has no direct relations with the agenda setting of opinion leaders.
