Currently, the researches on collaborative information seeking and retrieval is becoming a research focus in the field of library and information science, scope and content has been continuously broaden. In order to explore the behavior of collaborative information seeking and retrieval in specific context, the paper selected enterprise project team members in the organization’s environment as research subjects, investigated and explored the users’behavior patterns of collaborative information seeking and retrieval in this context, and analyzed its behavioral characteristics. In addition, based on the analysis of behavioral characteristics and behavioral differences, explored the factors affecting collaborative information seeking and retrieval, explored behavioral mechanisms problems of collaborative information seeking and retrieval in this context.Based on Triandis behavioral model and Leckie model and so on, this study constructed enterprise’s project team collaborative information seeking and retrieval behavior mechanism model, through interview, field observation method, and questionnaire investigation and so on, surveyed on enterprises’project team collaborative information seeking and retrieval behavior characteristics, analyzed the factors which influence the behavior of project team members, using the statistical analysis software and structural equation model to process the sample data, and then the theoretical model was tested and modified to obtain a final enterprises’project team collaboration information seeking and retrieval behavior mechanisms model.Empirical studies have found that the enterprises’project team collaborative information seeking and retrieval behavior was based on the projects’mission, while collaboration seeking in pre-project tasks occurred most frequently; They solved the problems mainly through the use of their experience, the information on hand, or page Forum information using the search engine, only when it was difficult to accomplish the mission they initiated collaboration among team members;Enterprises’team members would choose the most direct and convenient ways of collaboration information seeking; most team members would exchange information during the meeting as well as during non-meeting in the workplace; Team members who do not communicate almost didn’t exist. The validation results on influencing factors showed that:awareness of the project task of team members would affect the perception results and willingness of collaboration information seeking behavior. Perception results of team members, willingness of collaborative information seeking was also directly affected by members nature and attitudes of collaborative information seeking and retrieval behavior, in addition, attitudes of collaborative information seeking and retrieval would have a direct impact on the willingness of collaboration and inner perception results. Organizational climate and exchanging environment not only had a direct impact on the collaborative information seeking behavior attitude, but also had an indirect effect on the collaboration information seeking behavior attitude and perception results. Although the factors of effect motivation reinforcement did not produce direct feedback effect on collaboration information seeking behavior attitude and willingness, it would indirectly affect attitudes and willingness of collaboration information seeking behavior through affecting awareness of the project mission, the characteristics of members, the organizational climate and communication environment.
