| Socialized cooperation has become an important behavioral characteristic in young people’s daily life and learning activities.In the modern educational environment,cooperative learning tasks are already very common.The Mid-and Long-Term Youth Development Plan(2016-2025)clearly proposes interactive and peer-to-peer learning to enhance knowledge exchange and integration among young people.However,in the previous research on youth collaborative information search behavior,only a small amount of research focused on the more limited aspects of cooperative search behavior when young people use digital libraries,and public libraries provide cooperative search services for children.The impact of search behavior has not been systematically explored.The research on cooperative information search behavior of other groups also explores the influence of group size less.Based on the existing results,this study explores the characteristics of collaborative information search behaviors of adolescents of different group sizes,focusing on the research of the role of different groups,the collaborative process and the differences in collaborative search results.This article takes 14-19 year olds as the research object,and uses the experimental method to divide 82 teenagers into different group sizes(2-person group,4-person group and 6-person group),obtain relevant youth collaborative information search data,and statistical analysis through SPSS 19 The software performs descriptive statistical analysis and analysis of variance on the quantitative data collected in the experiment,and at the same time combines the content analysis method to objectively and systematically describe the qualitative data in the experiment,and establish meaningful categories to mine and exchange content.Analyze the characteristics of information content in the search process.The main conclusions of this study are:(1)The characteristics of youth collaborative information search behaviors are:(1)Overall,the youth collaborative information search process has obvious phase characteristics(three stages);young people of different group sizes show the proportion of time spent on various types of behaviors to complete tasks in order from large to small For browsing,communication,editing,and retrieval;information exchange appears in the entire process of youth collaborative information search.(2)The expression of information needs of young people’s collaborative information search is simple and direct,mainly directly copied or simply extracted from the information search task;when encountering more complex information search tasks,there are generally multiple expressions of information needs,and most of them are based on search tasks The content is divided and the planner completes it;(3)The use of youth collaborative search tools is less and single,and highly dependent on the general search engine(Baidu);Prefer to use words or phrases to construct search formulas,the average length of the search formula is about 6 characters;it appears more frequently in life-type information search tasks Transform and input search formulas to achieve search target features;(4)Information browsing is a time-consuming link,which is generally more than 4times the retrieval time.Due to limited cognition and domain knowledge,it is difficult for young people to analyze and process the search results,and it takes more time to screen,classify and sort the search results to complete the task;(5)The number of group information selections is more than the number of individual information selections in the process of youth collaborative information search behavior,which reflects the characteristics of youths’ common judgment and decision-making;(6)The information exchange performance is very active in the process of young people’s collaborative information search behavior,preferring information sharing in the form of text in learning tasks,and preferring information sharing in the form of pictures in daily tasks;(7)In the process of collaborative information search,there is very little information preservation(including collection),and lack of information preservation awareness.It is the preferred "collection" method to open and keep useful web pages in the browser window.(2)The effect of group size on the role of youth collaborative information search:the role of youth collaborative information search mainly includes planners,collectors,editors and communicators,and there is a general situation where one team member serves as a multi-corner;in groups with small groups,The role of the communicator is unstable and there are communication problems,and more than one member acts as a multi-corner.Conversely,in a larger group,there are fewer cases where one member acts as a multi-corner,but marginal users will be derived(inactive To share tasks,the group’s contribution is extremely low).(3)The influence of group size on the process of youth collaborative information search behavior: using roles to normalize different group sizes,and then build a model of youth collaborative information search process: divided into three stages:organizational division of labor,retrieval and communication,editing and summary Composition;due to different group sizes,the retrieval and communication phase and the organizational division of labor will be repeated alternately,and as the number of groups increases,the situation of division of labor by role will increase,while the probability of division of labor by content will decrease.(4)The effect of group size on the efficiency of young people ’s collaborative information search: the length of tasks completed by different group sizes is significantly different,and the score of the retrieval results of the group with smaller group size is significantly lower than that of other group size groups. |
