With the development of modern science and technology and people’s awareness of security, application of video surveillance systems in the field of security has become increasingly popular. Meanwhile. with the rapid development of communication technology and mobile smart devices.The remote monitoring has become a possibility. The situation of monitored sites can be real-timely observed through smart terminals, and simultaneously the users can quickly respond to the abnormal conditions accordingly.Based on a high-performance MCU, and the safe and reliable embedded operating system platform, combined with wireless communication technology, a mobile remote intelligent video surveillance system prototype is to be designed and implemented in this thesis. The system includes:data acquisition module, server, mobile-terminal module and client. In the data acquisition module, a camera is used to acquire the video information, and a temperature sensors is used to collect temperature information. Simultaneously, through the USB interface, the acquisition signal is transmitted to the server. The server sends the collected data to the client with a connection relationship while the server receives and parses control instruction to the MCU via serial communication sent to control the L298N driver circuit and make the motor rotation. The user applies the client software, enters the server IP address and port number; from the login screen of the display interface, open the video surveillance button to view real-time video surveillance, and achieve video monitoring function. At the same time, the user can also control the server apparatus through the display interface buttons and menus.The main contents are as follows:(1)Introduces the history and development of video surveillance and research status of intelligent terminals. On this basis, according to the R&D needs of remote monitoring, a new Android-based smart mobile remote monitoring system has been presented.(2)According to the system requirements and solutions, the system mainly consists of four parts:data acquisition module, server, mobile device and client. Data acquisition module is used for the acquisition of video information and temperature information; The main tasks of the server include Linux operating system migration, MCU serial communication protocol, Socket network communication and the modular client interaction task thread where the task thread makes the response to client connection requests and establish a connection relationship; The server collects the camera video information and on-site temperature information and transmits the collected data to the client after the connection request. Moreover, the server receives the control instructions sent by the client. The mobile terminal comprises hardware and software parts, where the hardware part include the control board and the motor drive circuit. and the software lies in the serial communication implement between the control panel and the server by which the motor driving circuit is controlled to cause the motor rotation. The client hardware platform is mainly based on the Android smart terminal, and the software includes UI interface XML document, Socket communication code, control command thread and other parts.(3)Integrate and test the prototype system to verify the validity and reliability of the mentioned corresponding functions.
