With the continuous development of society and progress,people's security awareness have gradually increased.video surveillance system,with its accuracy,convenience and efficiency,has been widely used in the field of security monitoring.The traditional video surveillance system,mostly based on wired network,has large installation and wiring project,poor mobility and high cost.With the development of WiFi,4G and other wireless transmission technologies as well as embedded technologies,wireless,small and low-cost video surveillance system is favored.In this paper,through the study of wireless video surveillance key technology,we design and implement wireless video surveillance system based on embedded technology.The system consists of three parts,namely,monitoring front end,central server and mobile monitoring terminal.The central server creates WiFi hotspots,monitors front end and mobile monitoring terminals to access WiFi hotspots and wireless servers to the central server,respectively,to overcome the shortcomings of wired monitoring technology.The major work is summarized as follows:(1)Proposing the overall design schemes of video surveillance system based on embedded technology,and those of the monitoring front end,central server and mobile monitoring terminal respectively.(2)The hardware platform and software development environment of embedded server are been built,including U-Boot porting of embedded Linux operating system,kernel porting and constructing root file system.(3)Developing of embedded server application,completing the capture of multi-channel monitoring videos,as well as the compression of coding and wireless transmission.(4)Development of application software for central server,Using Qt to develop the friendly interface interacting with users.completed the reception and transmission of multi-channel video data,video decoding,video storage,video playback and video dynamic detection,and backup storage for dynamic video.(5)Development Mobile monitoring terminal application in the Android system to achieve multi-channel monitoring of video data reception and decoding playback.The experimental results show that the embedded wireless video surveillance system designed in this paper achieve the system design requirements,monitor the video image clearly and smoothly,and has the advantages of high accuracy and good real-time performance.
