Since the early21st century, according to the report, the aging trend in China is intensified. Some big and developed cities have become aging cities, such as Shanghai, Beijing and Tianjin. As children growing up, they have to get away from home for studying, working, and starting a family. The phenomenon of empty nester is increasingly serious. The solitary old man’s health monitoring problem is imminent. Meanwhile, with the rapid development of economy, people’s big living pressure, fast pace of life and unhealthy diet, daily health monitoring system is necessary. Although the growth of national economy is stable, the gap between the rich and poor is big. Because the economic development and the aging speed are out of sync, our country can not build a favorable and perfect medical security system for universal. Especially for those who have some chronic diseases or those who need mobile monitoring, they often can not get effective treatment and rescue once seizure out hospital. For example, conventional electrocardiogram measurement is taken when the patients is in the repose situation. It can only get a small amount of information about the state of the heart, and the testing time is short. In such a short time, even if there was a arrhythmia, the discovered probability is low. The long-time and real-time monitoring for the patients is needed to record the patient’s ECG data. Because the occurrence of heart disease has the characteristics of sudden, patients may not repose in the hospital for a long time. They need real-time monitoring. Thus, portable daily physiological signal remote monitoring system is very necessary. This research project which is based on wireless communication of physiological signal monitoring system will be used in daily monitoring. It consists of two parts, the monitoring terminal and remote monitoring platform. The monitoring terminal based on ECG signal sampling signal to be detected, with GPRS wireless communication technology as remote communication technology, with the ARM chip as the core control chip, with embedded Linux as embedded system will realize the function of ECG signal acquisition, storage, and sending. The Remote monitoring platform interface is designed with Visual Studio2008. In order to make the interface friendly, concise, clear and easy to operate, the monitoring platform database is designed with SQLServer2005.The monitoring terminal uses Linux system matched with ARM chip, making the system has strong portability. It can cut or increase the function module according to the demand, making it convenient to update or upgrade the version of subsequent monitoring system, improving the comprehensive performance of the monitoring terminal. The remote monitoring platform works in public IP, it will receive the physiological signal data which were transmitted according to the TCP/IP protocol and store it in database. At the same time, it can realize the platform function according to the designed. function. The monitoring terminal and remote monitoring system platform in this research project can be extended to other terminal function or corresponding physiological signal monitoring system application, and it also provides solution to the remote application in other field.
