The computer based ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus rebuilds images through data processing software after the converted original diagnostic signals being sent to the computer. The signals need to be fast, timely and safely transferred to the PC through communication port. In the commonly used computer bus, it is easy to find that USB (universal serial bus) has advantages of small volume, good compatibility, plug and play, supporting hot plugging, low cost and saving system resources, and it has become a popular port for PC. The USB3.0has a transmission rate of5.0Gbit/s. The present work has proposed a data transmission system based on USB3.0to realize the fast and timely transmission of external data to computer.The project mainly consists four parts. Firstly, in order to complete the hardware platform for data transmission system, it is the main work to draw the schematic and PCB board according to the designed block diagram and debug the circuit. Secondly, the firmware is developed after GPIF II interface is designed. Thirdly, the FPGA design is finished to achieve sequential logic control on USB3.0. Finally, USB device driver and PC software are developed to realize the interaction between software and hardware.External data can be fast and timely transmitted to the computer through USB3.0in the data transmission system. Basic information of USB and waveform of data transferred are displayed timely on the PC UI (user interface), and the transmission rate of USB3.0is tested. The work provides application reference for fast transmitting equipment based on computer interface.
