Gaze tracking is a kind of technology estimating the actual position of eye fixation by analyzing measured data.Eye tracker is one of the applications of gaze tracking technology.By measuring and recording the changes of some parameters of human eyes when they are observing the external world,eye tracker can implement the tracking of human eye's gaze.In this paper,by researching the working principle and implementation process of eye tracker system,the design of head-mounted eye tracking system and specific optimizing of the overall system framework are given.In order to satisfy the performance requirements of the eye tracker and image acquisition system,we use Cypress's CYUSB3014 USB3.0 interface chip to implement the high-speed image acquisition system.It is programmed by firmware,so high-speed image data can uploaded to the terminal device PC to realize real-time control of the underlying hardware image data transmission.For the purpose of realizing the interactivities between image processing system software and the user,the PC software are programed by Qt platform.And the problem of data loss occurs in the image data transmission process is solved by using image data splicing technology.The use of multi-threading technology headset eye tracker software system integrated with various functional modules,optimize the design of head-mounted eye tracker.Finally,the overall performance of the head-mounted eye tracker system based on USB3.0 image acquisition system is tested.The main indicators of the head-mounted eye tracker system based on USB3.0 high-speed image acquisition system,including the validity,the maximum frame rate stability,the system data transfer rate,tracking accuracy and scope are tested and analyzed.The result shows that the maximum transmission speed of the System up to 380MB/s,the eye/scene graph rate is consistent with the actual acquisition graph rate,and gaze tracking error angle is lesser than 1°,the tracking range of the horizontal direction is 34°,vertical 23 0.It has high reliability by optimizing the design of the system.
