Precision measurement is an important application of laser. Laser ranging sensoris a sensor for distance measurement by laser. Due to its characteristic such as, widemeasuring range, fast response speed, high precision, large measuring range, smallvolume, light weight, laser ranging sensor has been widely used in the constructionsurvey, the motion position monitoring, vehicle speed, estate survey and mapping.Laser ranging sensor alone cannot meet the measurement work in practice, it must beprocessed with a computer or other equipment to deal with the data, display the resultand save data.This paper presents a display and storage system of laser ranging sensor based onSTM32chip. It can deal with the data from laser ranging sensor, display and savemeasuring result through the system so as to meet the requirements of engineeringpractice in the practicality and portability. The paper uses the combination ofhardware and software to build the system. Firstly, design the hardware circuit of thewhole system according to the needs of the system, including the selection of deviceand the design of function module. It mainly complete the power supply circuit with asingle key switch function, LCD module circuit and the storage device circuit, etc.Secondly, program the drive of the underlying hardware, including power control, thedriver of LCD and storage device, etc. Furthermore, complete the transplantation ofthe operating system uC/OS-II, the file system FatFs and graphical user interfaceuC/GUI. Finally, program the application of user layer according the meet of system.The whole design is divided into two parts, hardware design and software design.The hardware design adopts the microcontroller STM32F103VET6, cooperating theexternal circuit of the power supply circuit, LCD module circuit and SD card circuit to complete the receiving and processing data from laser ranging sensor, displayingand saving the measurement result. It appends measurement function according to thedemand in practice. The paper focus on the hardware design of the system (the powercircuit) and software design (including the transplantation of the real-time operatingsystem, the file system and the graphical user interface), using the excellent operatingsystem uC/OS-II, the free and open source file system FatFs, and uC/GUI as thegraphical user interface which is optimized according to the hardware platform.
