In the laser ranging technology,the beam quality and energy of the emitted light of the laser emitting module directly relate to the measuring range and accuracy of the entire ranging.The development of the laser is a key technical point in the laser ranging.This article focuses on the research of human-eye safety laser ranging emission part,researches and discusses the development of human eye safety laser,and further designs a photoelectric detection circuit suitable for laser ranging,and an impulse driver for driving the laser circuit.This paper introduces the application background and domestic and foreign research dynamics of human-eye safety laser ranging.Combined with the practical needs of this topic,pulse laser range finding method is selected as a method for distance ranging.The existing types of lasers for laser ranging are analyzed and compared,and LD-pumped Er glass lasers are selected as the laser source.The technical characteristics and applicability of LD(laser diode)pumped Er glass solid state lasers are analyzed.Vertical surface emitting semiconductor lasers are used as side pumping sources,and fiber coupled semiconductor lasers are used as end pumping sources.Lateral pumping is studied.The effects and characteristics of the end-pumped pump were verified by experiments.The photoelectric detection part of the laser emission module was designed to analyze the demand of the photoelectric detection part and a PIN photoelectric detection circuit was designed and developed.Designed to drive the laser pulse drive circuit,completed the study of the laser emission module.LD pumped Er glass laser has the advantages of high average output power,high electro-optical conversion efficiency,and good beam quality.The output wavelength is in the 1.5x?m band(the most ideal human-safe laser wavelength),and it is an ideal emitting device for laser ranging.In this paper,LD-pumped Er glass solid-state laser is used as the pulsed laser light source of the laser ranging transmitter module.The side pumped and end-pumped pumping methods are studied.The vertical surface emitting semiconductor laser is used as the side pump for the Er glass solid state laser.The source,this design increases the cross-sectional area of ??the working substance that absorbs the pump light,can fully absorb the energy of the pump light,not easily damage the gain medium,and more easily obtain a high-energy laser output.The pulse drivecircuit is an indispensable part of generating the pulsed laser,and the stability of the pulsed drive source has a great influence on the quality of the laser output.According to the needs of the subject,an externally-triggered pulse driver circuit was developed for generating the laser drive signal.In pulsed laser ranging,a photodetection module is required at the laser emitting end to detect the pulsed light emitted by the laser and sent to the subsequent echo signal processing module as the timing starting signal for time interval measurement.The pulse signal detection method is analyzed and compared.Considering that the photoelectric detection circuit of the laser emission module has a short detection distance,the received optical pulse energy is strong,the signal noise is low,and only the light intensity information needs to be obtained,and direct detection is used.The method uses a PIN photodiode to detect the laser emission signal.
