| Information on the society of information literacy Vocational students put high demands, but the present teaching basic computer courses far from being able to meet this demand. Based on typical cases to the objectively existed events, group analyses and discussions are taken as the chief characteristics. Successfully used in the Harvard Business School, case teaching has swept the world and is considered a successful mode representing the future direction of education. It is a mode combining theory with practice most closely, is really a good way to stimulate the students' main role and to cultivate creative talents. Study and practice have been done in such course teaching as law, medicine, and management by using case teaching, and they have already achieved good results. However, there is still rare study on understanding profound purpose of vocational education, on accurately grasping teaching characteristics of computer science.In light of the characteristics of computer course teaching, we carry on case teaching by taking experimental approaches in basic computer courses teaching. In order to establish a new teaching mode, we aim at exploring the teaching characteristics of computer course, to establish a mode available to achieve goals for higher vocational talents training and adapt to Cognitive law for them. Through teaching practice, we try to provide experiences for reference and recommendations for basic computer teaching, try to enrich cases in teaching resources and to promote computer course teaching reform in higher vocational colleges.In this thesis, we've formed a theoretical foundation on case teaching mode, firstly by analyzing the necessities and realistic conditions in undertaking case teaching in basic computer course in higher vocational colleges, then by defining concept of case teaching mode and verify the theory confirmation. In accordance to these bases and teaching characteristics of computer course, we propose some operational procedures and strategies. Taking two classes in Chongqing City Management Vocational College to be examined, taking basic teaching contents in computer course to be a case, we've launched a one-year experimental study on case teaching.The study shows: 1. Case teaching can stimulate the students' interest, mobilize their enthusiasm and enhance their awareness of "main body" through appropriate display on cases , can make them change from "I am asked to study" into "I want to study." 2. Case teaching can cultivate the students' thinking and application abilities to deal with practical problems through vivid and practical analyses on cases 3. Case teaching can play a positive role in training the students' abilities in analyses , collaboration and communication, knowledge summary, applying what they have learned to reality etc. it is useful to cultivate innovation abilities and improve overall qualities. 4. Case teaching will help students to cultivate a positive attitude towards learning attitudes and form good study habits. |
