As the deepening of the reform of cultural system,most of publishing presses havefinished restructing already. It is enterprise developing strategy that becomes the mostimportant problem all presses are exploring after restricted. The way of manging institutionis not suitable for publishing presses who become enterprises after restructed. Most ofpresses must turn to publishing enterprises with the modern managment mechanism.This article take the People’s Posts&Telecom Press as sample,analyzing the businessenvironment and competitive advantages basing on the five forces model and SWOTtheory. After systematically analyzing of Ptpress’developing strategy, produce thedeveloping strategy in the medium and long term.This article has six parts. The first three chapters are summarizing the researchingbackground and cultural system reform. As the main part of this article, the forth chapteranalyses the publishing industry in which the PTpress stands, and summarize opportunitiesand challenges through analysing the strengths and weakness. The fifth chaptersystematically researches enterprise developing strategy, competitive strategy andfunctional strategy, and throw out a suggestion how to carry out PTpress developingstrategy. The sixth chapter comes to a conclusion that press’restructuring plays importantrole to publishing industry.
