With the high development of digital image technology and wireless transmissiontechnology, embedded system is widely used in aerospace, medical, industrial system andelectronic products with the advantages of flexible, efficient, cost-effective and low power.The architecture of ARM processor with Linux system make the terminal have powerfulability of multimedia processing and information interactive function.In order to solve the traditional mode of server and client and the low compression ratioin image interaction system, this paper combines with the embedded system, the acquisitionand code of digital image and the wireless technology, designs of the embedded multimediaterminal which can realize automatic access, real time image broadcasting and interactive andcan be applied to multimedia teaching, intelligent transportation and large internationalconference.In the aspect of hardware, adopt S3C6410ARM11chip as the core processor which has the strongability of multimedia processing, burn the Linux system, transplants the latest Qt4graphical library, loadthe high speed camera and wireless module, format a stable and high speed hardware platform.In the aspect of software, adopt V4L2programming interface to realize the acquisition of digitalimage, apply the latest JPEG hardware decoding and Post processor to implement the processing andarbitrary format of image, combine with TCP and UDP protocol to realize the broadcasting and interactivetransmission of image information. For the wireless network card, which work on the mode of Ad hoc andManaged and can realize the automatic access on local area network and information query under the wan.Finally, this project match with the latest Qt4human-computer interaction interface, implement avisual interface, easy to operate, and an embedded multimedia terminal with the function of setting theclassroom, calling for name, interactive video and the wan information query.The key work of this paper is the embedded digital image processing based on JPEG hardwaredecoding and the local area network information broadcasting and interaction. After a long in-depth studyand exploration, successfully solves the difficult problem. By running and debugging, the terminal can runstability, meet the design requirements.
