With the development of the society, information technology has greatly facilitatedpeople’s lives. In our country, there is an alarming gap between urban and rural areas oninformation construction. Information technology plays an increasingly important role in theprocess of building a new socialist countryside, as the important part, the Ruralinformatization has aroused wide public concern. In August2013, the state council of thePeople’s Republic of China deployed a new train of plans on the "broadband China" strategicdeployment. It pointed out that to strengthen the construction of Rural informatization hadrise to be a key project at the Ministerial level and be an irresistible trend of future.WLAN Technology is the integration of wireless communication technology andnetwork technology to combine the efficient use of Radio frequency transmission technologyas a means of data transmission of providing wireless broadband service, and now become animportant way of broadband access. To compare with the traditional network,WLAN with lowcost, simple access method, fast transmission characteristics. For larger rural areas, we givepriority to choose wired network as the main measure to developing broadbandconstruction.Since WLAN has the characteristics of convenient and flexible,it is a muchbetter choice in small and remote rural, It is undeniable that can exert positive effects onspeed up rural construction and popularization of broadband, offering farmer groups the latestinformation.WLAN network architecture is divided into autonomous type architecture, thecentralized architecture and distributed architecture, this article focuses on the following twotypes of architecture: autonomous type architecture and the centralized architecture.Autonomous type architecture is called Fat AP as well, each AP as a separate network nodesand an independent management. The centralized architecture is called Fit AP either whichcan through the wireless controller (AC) to control multiple AP management. Compared withthe Fat AP, Fit AP is a centralized control and management, low maintenance cost andsuitable for large-scale network and so on.This article based on broadband construction of rural areas by China MobileCommunication Corporation Liaoning department, compared the Fat with Fit AP. Though thediscrepant analysis,we agree with the Fit AP is much more suitable to be used in broadbandconstruction of rural areas. As the same time,we also analysis the status of implementation inpractical application of WLAN, and put more emphasis on the problem in practicalapplication and bring forward a way to solve the problem. In this article we list the plan, networking mode, construction cost and the cost of operation and maintenance, the devicemodels and parameters and the security in network to support the research. To sum up, Fit AP is the kingly way of rural broadband construction. In the backgroundthat our country vigorously develop it,there is a promising future for Fit AP in the market.
