This subject is designed to realize the system of water pump cluster monitoring andmanagement (hereinafter referred to as the system). The system is not only used toreal-time monitoring of the state of the pump, which is including the supervision ofelectricity, voltage, water level and other issues, but also designed to improve the safetyprotection. The use of RFID technology to design its protective plate and the use ofEthernet transmission management platform achieve a pump cluster remote monitoring andmanagement system. According to the physical model, the system is divided into threelayers which are the perception layer, the network layer and the application layer. Theperception layer is in chargr of the pump protection and the data acquisition, whichcontains the design of the software and hardware of the RFID protection board and theRFID reader. The network layer completes the pump data transmission via the Internet.The application layer takes charge of the pump remote monitoring and managementfunction. Moreover, system application softwares, which include the interception software,database and monitoring softwares are designed in this subject. The data exchangesoftware and monitoring software realize communication through the database. Theinterception software is not only in charge of the communication between the server andthe reader but also intercept if there is any data on a designated port transmitting to theserver-side. If there is, the data will be analysed according to a predetermined format andthen be deposited in the database. The monitoring software is responsible for removingdata from the database and providong a friendly interface for management personnels tocheck or manage the state of the pump.This work involves RFID, embedded software and hardware design, B/S modesoftware design and other technologies. It gives full considerations to the basicrequirements of embedded software engineering and achieves a real-time online monitoring of the pump. After a preliminary test and application of the system, it is clearthat the system has a good stability and it is a better solution to the pump house security,fault analysis and diagnosis, life cycle management and other issues.
