Recently, RFID technology has achieved a rapid development, including the application research. As a matter of fact, RFID is one of smart identification technology. The material can be identified, queried and managed without any directly by sending the tag data information to handle in the computer. For implementing these functions and connecting the reader and enterprise application, the conception of RFID middleware is advanced.The object of the project is to discuss the device management in the RFID system, and advance the model and solution relevant to the challenges for system integration of device management at present, also implement a full function device management module in an embedded environment ultimately.The moduel not only defines the content of management but also makes a total architecture model for the reader management framework and management objects to hide the differences between readers with different hardware and communication interfaces. What's more, it can supply reliable compatibility and advance a solution to the problems of low level real time ability and concurrence in the circumstance of embedded computing, which gives a efficient and consistent interface to reader device management.In this thesis, a running platform of RFID middleware has been built withemmbedded linux, microprocessor of ARM architecture with given extensive chips, and then the developing environment which confirms to the host-target developing model for RFID middleware was builded, after that the framework of the device management was builded by using the UML tools. Finally, the function of device management of RFID middleware was implemented by using C programming language and a serial packages of embedded developing tools. By the test and analysis, the system confirms to the framework and model, and the current popular standard.On the condition of reader device management without completed standard, it's significant to implement a device management function under the circumstance of embedded environment for other enterprise application integration with smart, identical, full function device management.
