In the rapid development of the telecommunications industry environment, data network users for the network itself has put forward higher requirements, mainly in the network economy, flexibility, expansibility etc.. In the promotion of network demand, VPN was born, with its unique characteristics has attracted more and more attention. VPN, Virtual Private Network, or virtual private network, is based on the public network, using a tunnel, encryption technology, to provide users with a virtual private network, it gives the user a direct connection to the private LAN feeling. However, in the VPN technologies, MPLS BGP VPN with its good scalability advantages and flexibility, has become the most rapid development at present, one of the most widely used VPN technology.MPLS BGP VPN refers to the construction of enterprise IP network in a provider backbone IP networks using MPLS technology, achieving cross regional, safety, high speed, reliable data, voice, image, multi service communication, provides the high quality service for the user. MPLS BGP VPN is widely used in large enterprises and operators, is the combination of MPLS technology and VPN. MPLS BGP VPN will be the traditional IP routing protocol and label forwarding the perfect combination, it uses the BGP release of VPN routing in the backbone network service providers, the use of MPLS forwarding VPN packets.This paper introduces the principle of MPLS BGP VPN technology and MPLS BGP VPN cross domain network mode and the mainstream application mode.
