During the era of Web2.0, new media are emerging continuously. As new medium,Microblog and Wechat well satisfies the emotional needs of secondary vocational schoolstudents in the aspects of seeking happiness, friendships, knowledge, and newness, which haspositive influences, to some extent, on their growth, as well as negative impacts on both theirbody and psyche, such as loss of moral education authority, spreading of entertainment gossip,popularity of money worship, prevalence of Cellphone addicts, extensive homebodies, etc. It isthus clear that the coming of Micro era has brought up a new topic on how to communicate andinterpret messages. Therefore, Media Literacy Education rises in response to the proper timeand conditions. Overseas Media Literacy Education has been booming, while in China, it isonly in the initial stage. So it is a new and urgent task for vocational educators to be aimed atthe Media Literacy Education in secondary vocational schools, which is still vacant at present.Aiming at building models of Media Literacy Education in secondary vocational schools,and with Micro-culture as the starting point, the writer has done a preliminary research andanalysis on the present situation of Media Literacy Education on secondary vocational schoolstudents, and put forward new models and practical strategies of Media Literacy Education onthem. There are mainly four parts:1, surveying the development of Media Literacy Educationfrom vertical dimensions, analyzing gains and losses of nation-wide Media Literacy researchfrom horizontal dimensions, defining Microblog, Media Literacy, and Media LiteracyEducation, and making sure the scope and pertinence of this research, laying the logical basis ofbuilding models of Media Literacy Education.2, by analyzing the statistics of how secondaryvocational school students use Microblog, investigating the present situation and level of MediaLiteracy of secondary vocational schools students, and then inquiring into the background ofMedia Literacy Education in China.3, the writer builds models of Media Literacy Education onsecondary vocational school students, by setting up the targets of Media Literacy Education,designing the contents, and choosing the methodologies.4, to make sure the carrying out ofMedia Literacy Education, the writer gives practical suggestions on operating mechanism,implementation ways, construction of teaching staff, etc.
