Water plant is the heart of the city, urban water supply relates to the daily livingof urban residents. The high demands of urban drinking water supply capacity andbackward increasingly acute contradictions, accelerate the transformation andupgrading of the old town waterworks increasingly demanding urgent. How to useinformation technology and adopt modern scientific and technological to enhance thelevel of water management has become an important research topic.This paper studied how to use technological means to ensure safety, continuous,high-quality water supply, including for the production of automatic control and OA.Production of automatic control is mainly achieved through multi-level control andintegrating water control systems with OA seamlessly to construct safe, efficient,energy-saving automated water supply system.The control system is designed to take " centralized monitoring, decentralizedcontrol " principle. The control network consists of three levels, namely, local control,local control and central control. Site control sub-station is compose of distributedvarious monitoring sub-stations and associated online testing instruments and testing,perform equipment. Including: water pump controllers, pump water controllers,dosing between controllers, backwash pump controllers and the central control room.Two monitors in the control room master station uses IFix configuration software, theuse of Ethernet with the following four PLC master station communication. PLCmaster station uses a star topology, each master respective industrial control machinemonitoring station data, in order to avoid failure occurs, a single master controlproblems led to the entire plant produce blind spots.We finally adopted the GE Intelligent Platforms (GE-IP) of iFIX solutions. Itachieved the production operation of the process visualization, data acquisition anddata monitoring. It is able to accurately monitor and control production processes andoptimize production equipment and enterprise resource management, improveemergency response capacity, improve productivity. Meanwhile, by studying iFix’sinternal architecture, we used it’s default interface to seamlessly connect waterautomatic control systems withOA systems, automation systems to solve data securityissues music to further optimize and friendly operation interface to help employeesmore efficiently complete water control efforts.Fully automatic control system configuration software features, reasonabledesign, implementation specification. After three years of use, automation andcontrol system is operating normally water, improved water treatment plantinformation management level.
