China’s publishing industry has entered the era of the bestseller. The best-selling books began to be popular, which has become the eternal pursuit of the publishing industry. Anhui Children’s Publishing House was founded in the1980s, becoming the only professional publishing children’s books company in Anhui Province. Time flies, Anhui Children’s Publishing House experienced two stages of development:alliance and brand building, has ranked first phalanx similar publishers. And its main means of brand building is the best-selling book building. It could say that the history of Anhui Children’s Publishing House is the history of the best-selling books. From the16million sales miracle of "Rainbow Cat and Blue Rabbit" series to "National Geographic" of science class,"Burst diffuse King" and "Naughty Ma Xiaotiao", Anhui Children’s Publishing House can’t develop without best-selling books.The successful bestseller is the unity of content and form. In the Era of Reading Pictures day, the significance of books’form is more and more important. The cover of a book is the window for readers, which its design style is the important expression of the propagation force and main methods for publishing house to build brand. The children bestseller becomes the important part of the bestseller market, and its audience-children, since they get distinct reading psychology for the age limits, their needs for the book cover design also become increasingly obvious. Studying the book cover design style of Anhui Children’s Publishing House can be useful for its brand building and the development of best-selling books.This paper takes100bestseller’cover of Anhui Children’s Publishing House in recent years as the research object, which statistically analysis Anhui Children’s Publishing House bestseller’cover and concrete design styles, and study its cover design formation from the editing and publishing science, communication science, aesthetics and the plane design science, psychology and other disciplines. What’s more, it puts forward problems and solutions on the basis of Anhui Children’s Publishing House bestseller’cover design styles. This paper includes four parts besides the first introduction part. The second part introduces the concept of bestseller at first, then tease out its history. At last, it puts attention on the research of cover design styles of bestseller: including the introduction of its function and significance. This is the theory part.The third part is the analysis of best-selling situation of Anhui Children’s Publishing House. It firstly reviews the development process of Anhui Children’s Publishing House, then sort out its morphological categories to foreshadow the specific study of books cover design styles.The fourth part specifically analysis the book cover of Anhui Children’s Publishing House from three dimensions:writing, color and images. To conclude its design forms through statistics and analysis of its cover samples.The fifth part concludes the design style of Anhui Children’s Publishing House on the basis of the former part. The overall formation of illustrations and lively distinctive cover design style of Anhui Children’s Publishing bestseller is essential for the bestseller. However, it still gets some problems, such as the unclear division of the readership, a little attention on personality and creative and the lack of responsibility on the book culture, etc, which affected to the development for publishers. The writer puts forward some advices to solve these problems combining its facts.The last part is the conclusion part, which concludes the study results. Anhui Children’s Publishing House has to divides the young readers market to create books cover with more humanities and bookish through words, colors and languages. Then building the book cover design with visual wallop, to make reading becomes happy reading. Finally it will occupy more markets and expand the brand influence.
