Research On News Comments Of Jianghuai Morning News

In this paper, the author takes the news comments of Jianghuai Morning News and the Southern Metropolis Daily as objects of comparative study, launches a comprehensive sort on the news comments of Jianghuai Morning News, on the basis of participatory observation combined with date statistics and textual analysis, mainly analyzes the attitudes, frequency and content of the news comments related with the government, and finally on the basis of case studies the author analyzes whether there exist differences of the two papers’ performance and what are the differences when they are in the face of the same event or in the same period of time, and then works out the research conclusion of this paper in the case of clear arguments:(1) metropolitan newspapers generally face an inner-weak and outer-powerful media living environment;(2) the interactive relationship of the survival and development of news comments and metropolitan newspapers.Considering that this paper attempts to reveal the media living environment of metropolitan newspapers in the process of news production, and the main objects of study are Jianghuai Morning News and Southern Metropolis Daily, so the first part of this paper will firstly be the overview of Jianghuai Morning News, and brief analysis on the basic characteristics and readers of Jianghuai Morning News as well as its current state of development. The third section describes the news’ production process of Jianghuai Morning News. In the last section of this part, the author makes a brief introduction of the news comments of Southern Metropolis Daily, laying the groundwork for the later study.In the next three sections the author makes comparative study of Jianghuai Morning News and Southern Metropolis Daily from the macro, meso and micro levels. In the second part of this paper, date statistics and content analysis are taken as the main research methods. First of all, researches are launched on the comments perspective (political, economic, social, cultural and other), comments tendency (criticism, neutral, praise), and the frequency of various news comments objects related to critical news comments of Southern Metropolis Daily and Jianghuai Morning News from the macro level. The second section, based on the textual analysis of the first section, does data statistics from the meso level and the main research objects are the "First Argument" and the "Luzhou Threesome" of Jianghuai Morning News and the "Editorial" of Southern Metropolis Daily. The frequency of these three columns related to governmental news comments is researched at first, then the frequency of these three columns criticizing the authority and local government, and finally this paper summarizes whether the media-supervision function of local newspaper’s news commentary can be effectively realized.In the third section, this paper launched a more specific study of Jianghuai Morning News with textual analysis method from the micro level. The first step is to make brief sort of the production process of news comments of Jianghuai Morning News by means of laboratory observation of the Jianghuai Morning News reviewed briefly combing the production process, then to understand how the Jianghuai Morning News comments are produced. Next, the "First Argument" of Jianghuai Morning is used as the focus of research to do content analysis. Compared with Southern Metropolis Daily news comments, how does Jianghuai Morning News adopt the news comments of Southern Metropolis. And there are mainly three categories: one category is completely using, which means Jianghuai Morning News makes no alteration; one is a small part of change, including the title and review articles; the third category is very large changes in news comments. This paper focuses on the study of those news comments with modification, and makes analysis of the changed content. While this paper sorts out those news manuscript which could be published but finally didn’t, and attempts to find the deep reasons that cause changes on news comments from the process of altering and depressing manuscripts, especially to what degree the influence of the external environment will be, which is also the original intention of this study. At the end, this research selects one hot event happened in the past year and compares the reaction it caused to different papers, and selects a period that best reflects the control of the government to news media to observe the reaction of these two papers, and then speculates and summarizes the media ecological environment situation of metropolis newspapers, attempts to put out a way that newspapers breaking through, and comes to the ultimate purpose of this study.
