A Sign Design Research On Based Of Human Visual Characteristics

Sign is a medium of information transmission. Guiding sign is the the important part of sign,which essence is using text, graphics, symbols and other related elements to convey environmental information,provide people with fast and accurate route guidance. Good Guiding sign system can not only create a good spatial order to improve the efficiency of the use of space,it can also be a characterization of architectural image and identity.So it can not be ignored as a part of the architectural design of human nature.In the high efficiency and fast-paced city life, guiding sign system has been developed as part of the city and gone deep into every aspect of people’s live. However, even so,sometimes we still run round in circles as we can not find the destination. Lack of necessary guiding sign system and the irrational planning are the main reasons. The current sign design research lack of the guiding of scientific theories, especially not consider standardization and humane aspects,so it can not meet the needs of people.Based on this background,in this article,Ⅰ will start from the human visual characteristics,study of human physiological and psychological characteristics, explore and analy the human visual identity, combine with the text, graphic symbols, color, shape proportions, planning layout, structural forms, materials technology of guiding sign design.Then I can obtain some references based on human visual characteristics,which can also be the theoretical basis for guiding sign design. It can also help prepare the national standard of’public building interior sign and mark system technical specifications’of chapter Ⅳ’sign design’. Besides,I will apply derived theoretical research results to the reconstruction project of Donghua university sign design in order to verify the reasonableness of theoretical results. In the actual case of the design process,the article will contact guiding sign design with campus culture environment,then campus guiding sign system can not only has the external meeting with human visual characteristics, but also has the inherent reflecting campus culture, thus enrich guiding sign design category.In summary,the article wants to explore a more functional and more acceptable method of guiding sign design by the depth study of human visual characteristics and the thoughts of culture, which can meet the basic needs of the people better.
