With the development of economy and science and technology in china, the types and quantities of environment pollution are also increasing, this cause a big pressure to environment protecting work. Environmental quality impact on people's quality of life directly, therefore, environment monitoring is necessary to make understand the environment and protect the environment. The 21st century, information technology has developed rapidly, and raised a storm of innovation, environment automatic monitoring was made on the environment protecting department's schedule. Environment automatic monitoring system is the application of computer technology and automation, communication network technology, to monitor the environmental pollution index of waste water, air emissions, and will transmit the monitoring data to environment monitoring centre data processing system.The environment monitoring is an important means of observing and supervising the change of environmental quality, and formed a netlike system nationwide. It is unable to meet the requirements of the development of environment monitoring that rely on traditional means of environment monitoring. There is an urgent need to improve domestic environment monitoring by introducing new technology. In such a situation, this paper mainly researches a automatic environment monitoring system based on wireless transmitting technology, and discusses the application of environment monitoring centre, and analyses the designing process of the entire system. The paper also discusses the development of wireless technology and our current environment monitoring systemThe environment automatic monitoring system in this paper is consisted of three parts:the subsystem of data collecting, the subsystem of wireless transmission and the subsystem of the application platform. Data collecting is compose of the monitoring equipment and DCT, to collecting all kinds of environmental parameters, such as effluent, exhaust air and other environmental data, and then package the data and sent it to the server by GPRS technology. All data deposit in server computer's database for the inquiry and analysis of application.First, this paper researched the internal hardware of DCT, and the implementation of software of DCT, and the soft configuration of DCT, at last, also researched application of the whole system. The Equipment of data collecting and transmitting has the function of data collecting and processing and transmitting. It connects the automatic monitoring equipment and the server computer with GPRS wireless technology. The DCT connects the automatic monitoring equipment through RS232 interface. The automatic monitoring equipment collects the environment data and transmits it to DCT, and then DCT transmits the data to server computer, at last our client computer can access the data. In application platform, the whole system is based on c/s or b/s structure, the system can analyze and process the data and make statistics, build and publish the data report. The reports are also used in the environmental warning, and by the use of geographical information system, it can provide an important reference to solve environmental emergency.Finally, the paper concluded the whole works, including the accomplishment of project and the harvest form this paper. Also there are some deficiencies and mistakes in my paper.
