The traditional power supply for electrostatic precipitators(ESP) has many shortages such as big size and low efficiency. In order to improve system performance, the paper proposes a novel type of high frequency power supply design scheme based on digital signal processor(DSP). Compared with the traditional power supply, this not noly reduces the equipment volume, but improves work efficiency.The paper firstly introduces the work principle of electrostatic precipitation, several kinds of power supply mode and electric field characteristics. Through analyzing the characters of voltage and current under the actual working condition, the system structure of a kind of new power supply is proposed.In addition, the paper introduces the design methods of the hardware circuit and software programming. With the rapid development of the power electronic devices, the advanced power electronic devices IGBTs are used to make sure that the system can work reliably. In order to make the system accord with the requirements, the paper uses soft switching and series resonation technique. The centre control system of power supply based on the TMS320F28335to ensure rapidity and stability, including of system protection and signal processing.Finally, the conclusion that the power supply system content the design requirements is taken by abundant tests. And the furture development direction is put forward in the paper.
