The application research on phase-shifted soft-switching PWM converter is performed to design a high power current-regulator power supply for focus-coil of a radar transmitted tube. This paper briefly reviews the hard-switching technique and the soft-switching technique which are applied to switching power supply, analyzes the basic operation principle of phase-shifted zero-voltage-switching converter systematically. The realization conditions and ways of ZVS, the reasons and the solutions of duty ratio loss of secondary are discussed. The design of the 24kW(40W600A) converter is presented and the design procedures of the converter's key parameters is described in detail. To meet the converter's requirements, the transformer has been implemented by means of four transformers with the primaries in series and the secondaries in parallel after the rectifying stages to make the output current shared by output rectifier diodes, which are small, cheap, easy to manufacture, efficient. The prototype converter is built to verify the feasibility of the scheme, and the experimental results are also included in this paper. |
