With the development of large metallurgy industry, the air separation equipments as its important part develop better than before. Automatic control system is a key equipment of air separation unit. By analyzing the technology of automatic control, the technology of automatic control gets continuous improvement. In the air separation field, automation control system must be safe and stable. Any fault or functional problems may bring out serious consequences. In order to avoid the risk and uncertainty, we design the logic protections for the compressor. That include automatic loading, anti surge protection control program.This thesis has its industrial background of the air separation equipment28000Nm3/h to do control technology. By researching the data and requirements of the compression, we selects SIEMENS PCS7control system which integrated with SIMATIC S7-400FH controller as the control system. We get process parameters of compression by this control system. And we make control logic of compressor.1. The designs of the project put forward the solutions of control technology for the linkage compressor. It introduces the hardware of instrument system. We discuss the control system and intelligent instrument in detail.2. According to the control requirements of machines, it analyzes interlock protections. It explicates the main control logic. And it explicates the logic of the anti-surge valves. It introduces the logic of the oil system too.3. According to the control logic and process, we design the flow-process diagrams in control system. It is an important way to express the control logic and the data from local instruments.This set of air separation unit is running stable now. The speed control of turbine is more stable than before. The scheme and data in this topic provide a reference implementation for control technology in air separation unit. It will be proposed new ideas for control technology in air separation units in the future.
