Turbine compressors are the key devices in the industry departments such as mining, metallurgy, petrochemicals, refrigeration, dynamics, environmental protection, etc. The structures of turbine compressors are complicated and the main parts such as impellers and diaphragm are required to be machined by high precision NC machines. Therefore, convenient and rapid programming methods are demanded in manufacture.Based on 2-D CAD software CAXA, taking impeller, diaphragm and weld case of turbine compressor, which are the products that are machined by vertical NC machine tool or fire cutting NC machine tool of Shenyang Turbine Compressor Works Co.Ltd, as researching objects, the 2-D NC program software is built by using C Programming Language. The content of this paper is as follows:(1) The development of the 2-D NC program software system of turbine Compressor. The various NC system of machine tools are analyzed, including FANUC-3T system of Japan, MESSER system and SIEMENS SINUMERIK 840T/FM-NC system of Germany. in the end, then establish the plan and compile the software are runned and tested on computer.(2) Production of the 2-D NC program. Based on the 2-D CAD software CAXA, the programmer draw out the profile of the parts which are needed to be manufactured by NC machine tool, assuring that the scale is 1:1 to the product drawing. Then we can offset the profile at the radius of cutter tip, save the drawing as.dxf. Run the 2-D NC program software and produce the G-code which can be used on various NC machineThe 2-D NC program software system of turbine Compressor in this paper is concise and practical. By applying it, the programmers can work on PC and get rid of S390 computing center. The NC program will be produced quickly in about 10 minutes, which drastically improve the efficiency and accuracy of NC program.
