| The library consortia meet the growing needs of readers through resource sharing and cooperation. Library consortia are a survival mode and the main development direction of library in the modern society. At present, Hunan library consortium has made certain achievements. But because of a late start and some other factors, the overall level of development is still relatively low. Especially compared with other mature library consortia, there are big gap in the exchange of information, sharing and service quality.This paper introduces the meaning of library consortia, organizational forms, characteristics. Then paper presents current situation about domestic and foreign mature library consortia, taking Digital Library Alliance in the Pearl River Delta、SIRN、CLJ、CLWUC、 CLA、Ohiolink、TexShare、NEOS、NACSIS、KOBV as example and anglicizing their mainly successful experience from these aspects of consortia scale, source of funds, and opening information services. Taking The Co-construction and Sharing of Literature Resources in Hunan province as example, this paper focuses on the current development state of Hunan library consortium, and concrete discuss the disparity and disadvantages between Hunan library consortium and some mature domestic and foreign consortia from the scale of development, management structure, funding sources and cooperation projects. Aiming at these questions and drawing lessons from successful consortia, article points out some development countermeasures. Firstly they should strengthen the cooperation consciousness, expand the alliance range, and expand the influence of Hunan library consortium; Secondly, they must strive for the support of government, broaden sources of funds; Thirdly, it is key point to strengthen the digital resources cooperation; Lastly they should optimize the organization structure and the improvement of reference consulting service. Based on the development reality, consortium will open a road possessing the characteristic of Hunan. |
