Along with the development of the wave of global Internet industry, the advent of the mobile Internet and cloud computing, networking and other new technologies proposed global surge in demand for IPv4addresses, but the IPv4protocol can only provide a limited number of addresses, the problem of IP address is imminent.As a major provider of Internet services, telecom operators is the primary IPv4address tenure, they feel the shortage of IP addresses also the most profound. However, demand for IP addresses business growth trend of widening the contrary, telecom operators obtain an IP address from the relevant institutions but drastically reduced. Currently, telecom operators reserve the IP address, but can only support the short-term business development, unable to meet the long-term deployment of new services. Years ago, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) had focused this problem, so the IPv6protocol is used to replace the IPv4protocol, because the address space of IPv6protocol extended to128, massive address space can effectively solve the problem of shortage of IPv4addresses.However, IPv4and IPv6packet is not compatible with the operator of a large number of existing network equipment can not directly upgrade to IPv6. However, due to a huge number of devices currently IPv4network, and can not interrupt existing business, how smooth will replace IPv4network to an IPv6network become a major concern. The research of Shandong Unicom IPv6network evolution strategy and programs is based on this needs arising.This paper analyzes the transition from the application point of view focused technologies, including: dual stack, tunneling and NAT. And tested four main programmes. Through on-the-spot investigation and study demonstrates the feasibility of the proposed implementation and test scheme of complete.
