IPv6 protocol is the new generation communication protocol of Internet. The transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is a key problem for IPv6 development. IPv4/IPv6 transition mechanisms and the implementation of realization have been discussed in this paper. The IPv4/IPv6 network application system of our school is designed, and the absolute solution draft is given.Focusing on dual stack technology, the operation of nodes with a dual IP layer-IPv4/IPv6 nodes is discussed too. This paper gives an overview of the routing aspects of the IPv6 transition based on dual stack, and defines the changes that need to be made to the DNS and BBS to support hosts running IPv6. At last how to accomplish dual stack Router, dual stack DNS, dual stack BBS is introduced.
