Electronic Tourist Guide (ETG) as an integral part of the modern tourist services has developing almost20years from arose, nowadays tourists can see the figure of ETG at many famous sights from home to abroad, it appears not only to make up for the deficiencies of the traditional tour guide services, but also to meet the personalized travel needs of the modern traveler. In recent years, the high-speed development and popularization of smart phones is also a good platform and opportunity for the rapid evolvement of ETG, especially it have derived many very practical applications after the rise of Android and ISO, they have offered technical support to "the smart travel" in China. Yangzhou as a typical tourist city, the development of tourism play a decisive role on lead the entire tertiary industry and the economy. In order to further promote the development of Yangzhou tourism this article will take the Slender West Lake for example to design the ETG on Android platform. The content of this study is focus on the following aspects:First, this article will make a pectination of the ETGs’basic theory, such as the origin of the ETG, the develop procedure, the research actuality and the influential Product both here and abroad.Second, make a system analysis of ETG from the user requirement, the function requirement and personalized travel demand, reference to the theory of the software engineering in order to ensure the accuracy and comprehensiveness the analysis result.Furthermore, design the ETG with the analysis result. This section will design overall system of ETG in first, includes select the architecture and differentiate the function module. Then, conduct the details design of ETG, includes design function module and database.Finally, conclusions the specific techniques associate with ETG in the implementation phase, this section will introduce the major techniques to considering there have too many techniques, includes the Android system, mobile location services and other related techniques.
