With the rapid development of the tourism industry and the rise of independent travel, the concept of electronic tourist guide came into being. Electronic tourist guide can meet the tourist demand for personalized travel information cost-effectively, and its application range includes museums, scenic areas and gradually extended to Campus, Science Park and other areas. Combined with the advantages of electronic tourist guide, this research's subject is campus electronic tourist guide.Based on the research of electronic tourist guide system, a campus electronic tourist guide system design is proposed in this work. In this design, the system is divided into two parts, which are mobile electronic tourist guide subsystem and electronic tourist guide data production subsystem. The emphasis is on design and implementation of the former part. System design process involves several key technical issues:digital map matching, attractions capture and positioning, and information sharing. This work solves the map matching problem by improving the weight-based map-matching algorithm. A detailed screening process is designed for current attractions positioning. In addition, the system also adds the micro-blogging function, which is very hot recently, to enable sharing attractions information to Sina micro-blogging site. Through the general design and solving of the key issues, this study implements the mobile electronic tourist guide subsystem by eSuperMap, which can offer some references for future design and implementation of similar systems.
