Research Of Web Design For The Aged Based On UE

The use of the Internet has become an important way to get information and to communicate in modern society, and among the Internet users in China the number of the aged is increasing gradually. The web page design cannot meet the requirements of the aged because the knowledge level of the old people is different, and the physiological and psychological characteristics of the aged are diverse from young people. The detailed research in this paper will provide references for the design of web pages of the aged, and it would be significant to provide a new method to measure the user experience when using a web page.The related researches are mostly qualitative or study on a separate element in the design of the web page. This paper did the experimental research on the aged web based on the related theories of the user experience, and combined with the characteristics of the aged users. The main work in this paper is as follows:Firstly, the web pages on health for the aged were designed and made. To make the web page for the research, this paper studied the design elements of the web design first and set several variables commonly used for each element web page. In order to get the web pages for the experiment on user experience, the representative web page were selected by using clustering analysis.Secondly, the scale of the emotional experience when using a web page for the aged was built. This paper collected some emotional words according to some literature material and selected the original words with experts and chose the through the words for the emotional experience scale the words by questionnaire. Then the data was collected and analysis for the final scale, and the reliability and validity were tested.Thirdly, the user experience of the representative web page was researched. The user experience experiment on the design of the health web page for the aged was carried out with the representative web pages. The variables in the web pages were qualitative, and it helped to control the design elements and design variables of each element in the web pages.At last, the relationship model of the user experience in three aspects and the web design variable were established. The data include eye movement index, task completion time and user emotional experience were collected after the experiment. These data was gotten to T measure the three different aspects of the user experience. This study built the model of the design variables with the three aspects of the experience which include senses, function and emotional experience of the users. The model were built by using quantitative theory I and then tested one by one. The optimal web design variables were worked out by the analysis of the optimized model of three aspects in user experience.This paper researched on the web page design with different methods and provided a experiment research methods to measurement user experience. The results of this study can be a reference for the web page design of aged. And it made up for the shortage in the present study.
