In order to diagnose instantly faulty equipment, enterprises need to build professional equipment monitoring and fault diagnosis system. For most SME(Small and Medium-sized Enterprises),there are some restrictions such as small scale、limited funds、fewer maintenance personnel,etc. So they are unable to develop above systems; And with the accumulation of time, the equipments will generate a large number of historical fault data, and the issure how to keep and make full use of these data is also worth studying. Cloud computing is a new network service business model. There are more and more applications based on cloud computing, and they are delivered as services over the Internet to the user. Enterprises can apply cloud computing services,and give the task of fault diagnosis to cloud service providers. It can meet the needs of diagnosis with saving the amount of cost, thus greatly improving enterprises efficiency.In this paper.we introduce the concept of" fault diagnosis cloud", through the study of the theory、characteristics%key technologies of cloud computing. The storage and computing of equipment fault data are concentrated in the " cloud ". And we design a equipment remote fault diagnosis system based on B/C (Brower/Cloud-Center) architecture (as opposed to the traditional C/S and B/S), and analyze its whole framework and working principle. After we study both Hadoop that is an open-sourced cloud computing platform core techniques HDFS、 MapReduce、HBase and the function of equipment remote fault diagnosis system, we design a equipment remote fault diagnosis center based on cloud computing, The enterprises which register in the center can use or employ the cloud diagnosis services in the center. In the diagnosis center, we use distributed database HBase based on its characteristics to design tables used in the center, then the center will have strong scalability on the data storage capacity;we use distributed programming model MapReduce to design an case-based reasoning fault diagnosis expert system which can meet the real-time issue of case retrieval in a large number of equipment fault cases; In artificial diagnosis,we design the online instant communication module which acts as a bridge for the communicatin between experts and enterprise users and observing remotely the run-time state of equipments; In addition,the center includes the equipment fault management module which is responsible for storing enterprise’s own equipment fault information; The center also includes the registration&login module、back-stage management module、online learning&help module. Finally, we develop in the cloud computing platform that is builded by Hadoop the equipment remote fault diagnosis center prototype system based on cloud computing and show implemented results, and we also test and analyze the performance of cloud computing platform.
