With enrollment expansion in higher education, college fixed assets should involve increasing data processing. The management of fixed assets used to be completed manually, some even completed just by human memory. Thus, such barriers as low efficiency, high error rate, unclear storage of equipments and intensive workload of stocktaking greatly suspend data processing. The College Fixed Assets Management System is aimed at eliminating all these barriers. At the same time, one can refer to the system to inquire every processing record and its very details. By effective assement of assets, assets management becomes more elaborate and availability of property is increased. The system mainly sets in fixed assets of a college and it is based on.net. After analysing feasibility of the system, I explicitly get the overall demand of the system. Meanwhile, detailed requirements of assets management, inquiry management, statistics management and system management are carried out. In light of the need analysis of the earlier stage, part of functional design, as well as database design, come out into being favorably. What’ s more, how some functions implement is elaborated. Users of the system can be classified into asset administers, asset operators, information seekers and system administers. As for functional modules, role management, user mamagement, permission management, asset inquiry, warehousing management, delivery management, assets retirement management and assets statistics constitute the system.I will first introduce the background, status in quo and significance of this research in this paper. I place emphasis on need analysis of fixed assets management. Based on this analysis, overall demand, flowcharts of functional modules are presented. Next part is a detailed division and design of submodules. In the end, I describe how the system implement in detail.A current popular architecture, B/S structure and mature computer network technology are adopted in this system. I develop the system selecting C#as the language, visual studio as the platform, SQL Server2008as the database and windows xp as the operating system. It has been proved successful in a college’s trial run. According to the result of the trial run, the system provides many functions, efficient disposing of fixed assets, perfect functions in statistics, elaborate inquiry of assets and a rise of fixed assets managememt level.
