This paper designs and implements a fixed assets management system inuniversities.Based on the rapid development of higher school to conduct a full evaluation, onthe current college internal operation mode, level of management conducted acomprehensive, systematic, in-depth analysis and study, current to our country related tofixed assets, financial, teaching equipment management regulations document acomprehensive understanding and grasp of the basis seriously, and fully integrated useof computer technology, software technology, data warehouse technology, networktechnology and design of the system.The system use C/S technology, using Power Builder9.0development tools,database using SQL Server2000. Reform the traditional management method of fixedassets, using modern information technology, establishing new higher school fixedassets management system and operational mechanism, make higher school fixed assetsmanagement informationization, and fully integrated use of computer technology,software technology, data warehouse technology, network technology.The system includes a fixed assets increase, changes in assets management, assetsmanagement, precision and large equipment using information maintenance, precisionand large equipment Internet information maintenance module.Because the system needs fixing, so the development mode use traditional waterfallmodel of development.This system conducts unit testing, integration testing, user testing several stepsrespectively. The test adopts the Bug Base developed by the Neusoft Corp to developbug recording and tracking management. In the actual operation of the system responsetime is satisfactory, the stability of the system is more reliable.
