Design And Implementation Of Graduate Education MIS Based On B/S Technology

The use of computer technology and database technology can help improve the management of postgraduates and make it informationized allowing school information sharing and communication. And because of their practical significance to the daily management of postgraduates, using computer technology and database technology has become an inevitable option for colleges and universities to achieve modern information management. Postgraduate training and management system, an indispensable part of the whole management system of the postgraduates in universities, plays an important role in the management of postgraduates. Providing sufficient information and convenient means of inquiry, it contributes greatly to the management and comprehensive evaluation of postgraduate students. Based on a large number of literature researches in postgraduate training and management, and also based on the practical principle, the paper makes use of the mature B/S software architecture on the ground of ASP.NET technology to design and realize the information system of postgraduate training and management according to the teaching characteristics of one of second batch of universities in Changsha, so as to make the system more scientific and practical.At first, the paper carried out a detailed analysis of postgraduate training and management concerning its basic working process and function needs of the postgraduate cultivation and management system. Then, the paper designs functioning structure of the system and database structure, and finally the detailed implementation process of ASP.net three-layer B/S architecture is presented, describing how the main functions of the system are achieved.Related to the daily teaching and training of the postgraduates in University, postgraduate training is the core part of postgraduate education. Since the process of postgraduate training differs because of their different classes, the work of postgraduate training and management becomes so complicated, which demands the standardization of postgraduate training and management.By ADO.NET technology the system signs in to SQL Server2008database server on the Visual Studio2010platform and it can meet the training requirements of all kinds of postgraduates because its functions almost cover all aspects of the postgraduate training. Through the system the managers, instructors, teachers and even the postgraduates themselves can attend the postgraduate training and management online instead of doing that manually. Moreover, the system makes it possible for them to inquire and monitor at any time the training progress under their control.
