Industrial wireless technology is a wireless communication technology that dedicated to industrial environment based on wireless sensor network. Its advantages, such as strong anti-interference ability, low power consumption, the real-time communication, easy to extend, can satisfy measuring and controlling the process parameters and equipment status of some severe environment, unfavorable for cable wiring, high corrosion and high pollution in factory automation. WIA-PA is a wireless industry technology with independent intellectual property rights in our country, at present, the products of WIA-PA which can be suitable for industrial site are vacant, the market potential of these products is tremendous.WIA-PA technology is researched in this thesis. Intelligent wireless temperature transmitter is developed to meet with WIA-PA communication protocol. On instrument module, low power MSP430microcomputer is the core processing unit, AD7794chip is selected as conversion module, CD4052switch chooses sensor input channels, instrument module can exchange data with communication module by UART, the power supply is from battery. On software programming, the status of instrument is set to sleeping mode, through the timer interrupting, instrument is awakened up every10seconds to do the AD sampling, data conversion and processing, then wireless module sent data to wireless gateway according to the WIA-PA agreement requirements.The wireless temperature transmitter can communicate normally with decentralized processing unit of DCS system, it can extremely reduce power consumption. Its precision complies with the design requirements on standard signal input.
