Design And Implementaton Of Library Management System Based On RFID

With the constant increase of library books, the traditional equipment and management method has begun to affect the daily library management. RFID (Radio Frequency Identification, RFID) technology has appeared in many areas by self-advantages. Applying this technology to library management, can not only solve the current difficulties in books management, but also improve the efficiency of management and quality service.This paper introduces the current library daily management work and technical support. The necessity of using the new technologies is put forward. Then it analyzes the composition of the RFID system, operating mode, classification and the advantage of the RFID technology in the application of library. According to the actual situation of author’s work units, the business process and work conten of various departments in library are introduced, and the requirements analysis and general design of library management system is set forth. Finally, the library management system based on RFID is designed in detail by using JAVA programming tools and SQL Server database management tools. Function of reader management, purchase of books, query of books, circulation of books and positioning of books is achieved.As the reslut of test running, the system provides friendly user interfaces, simple operation and safe data. It can not only meet the needs of daily management work in library, but also reduce the processes and costs of library management. The library management system greatly improves the efficiency of library management and the service level.
